Ephemeral Drift (in Collaboration with Neon Venus Studio)

Ephemeral Drift is an immersive live electro-acoustic and projection-based installation that represents an expansion of Maurice's ongoing five-year exploration into the captivating interplay of bubbles and light and is a continued collaboration with drummer, and composer Tommy Crane.

Luminescent, sonic, and experimental, all aspects of the event have been curated to envelop guests in a multisensory atmosphere. Distinct spaces, two floors and suspended semi-translucent fabrics display Maurice’s analog projections - which are microscopically filmed chemical reactions designed to complement Tommy Crane’s musical performance. The evening is divided into two “experiments” - one at 9 pm and a second at 10 pm, each presenting a new artistic material for the delight of all LAB guests.

Established in 2023, Neon Venus Productions is an immersive experience firm led by three Winnipeg-based creative entrepreneurs: Architect-Restaurateur Joe Kalturnyk, Producer-Curator Zohreh Gervais, and Art Director Ricardo Soriano. Together with an award-winning team of collaborators, Neon Venus is creating multi-sensory journeys to awe audiences. We do this by merging technology, architecture, music, and art to carefully craft an immersive experience informed by the latest research in psychology and neuroscience.
